The Kerala Community Care Network (KCCN) is a collaborative platform for building age-friendly communities and strengthening senior care ecosystems across Kerala. The model places older persons at the centre — not merely as beneficiaries but as knowledge holders, mentors, community leaders, and active participants.

KCCN operates as a multi-tiered network: ward and panchayat-level micro-networks identify local needs and implement practical actions; regional clusters share learning and coordinate services; state-level integration translates community evidence into policy advocacy and statewide replication.

Key components include age-friendly local governance support for LSGIs, community-based ageing-in-place programmes, health integration and early detection, dementia-friendly community building, intergenerational engagement, and academic and professional partnerships across Kerala. CEDAC functions as the catalyst and technical support agency — aligning institutions around a common framework grounded in WHO-GNAFCC principles.
